Director of Construction & Transportation

12 month employment with benefits

Salary range - $56,000-68,000

 

PRIMARY PURPOSES:      

 

Coordinate and manage all new construction and renovation projects in the district.  Direct and manage district’s transportation and vehicle maintenance program.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education/Certification:         High School Diploma or GED.  College Degree Preferred.

 

Special Knowledge/Skills:      - Knowledge of project planning and construction principles.

                                                        - Knowledge of health and safety regulations.

                                                        - Knowledge of building codes, zoning ordinances, and the inspection certification

                                                            process.

                                                        - Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

                                                        - Ability to conduct on-site inspections of all district facilities.

                                                        - Ability to direct and manage operations of a large fleet of vehicles.

                                                        - Knowledge of energy management and vehicle repair and maintenance.

                                                        - Ability to manage budget and personnel.

                                                        - Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data.

                                                        - Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

 

Experience:     Five years construction project management, architectural, or engineering experience preferred.

                            Three years supervisory experience preferred.

                            Experience as a bus driver preferred.
