AHS Student
Council is a group of elected and volunteer students working
together to provide a means for student expression and
assistance in school affairs and activities give
opportunities for student experience in leadership and
encourage student/faculty/community relations. Through
projects and activities, student councils work to promote
citizenship, scholarship, leadership, human relations,
school and community pride, and cultural values. We are
committed to programs that promote conservation of energy
resources and environmental protection. We develop,
organize, and participate in projects that encourage safety
awareness in the areas of traffic safety, home safety, and
school safety. We are committed to sponsoring projects to
prevent drug, tobacco and alcohol abuse and conduct health
awareness campaigns with information and education regarding
health issues that impact adolescents. Aside from these
worthy causes, we are devoted to serving our community by
giving our time and raising funds for various charities and
other community needs.
