Friday, 11:20 – 3200m Run

Thank you to all who supported Coyote Athletics this school year. A number of people devoted themselves to insuring that this year’s spring banquet was again outstanding. Many students were recognized and honored. The AABC will award a number of scholarships at the upcoming Awards Banquet on May 20.

It is a privilege to serve this community and its students. Thank you for the opportunity to do such!

The Coyotes made a solid a showing at the Regional Track Meet in Stephenville. A number of athletes made the finals. I will forward results of those who placed in the finals later today.

Cody Hughes took second in the 3200m and 1600m and will be Anna’s lone representative in Austin. Carl Cannon finished third as District 13-AA took the top 3 places in the 800m run.

Many of our young athletes were very impressive! We can look forward to seeing some outstanding performances in Track and Field over the next few years.

The Coyotes say goodbye to Stephenville for the last time. 3A Regional competitions will be in Commerce (a much shorter haul).

WE WILL HONOR ALL OF OUR STUDENT-ATHLETES THIS SATURDAY AT THE ANNUAL SPRING BANQUET – 6 pm, Rattan Elementary. Tickets are $10. Come support Anna Coyote Athletics!

The Booster Club will meet tonight at 7 pm – HS Library.

Thanks to all of you who gave very sacrificially this year to the program with time, effort, and energy. The greatest resource in the world is human energy. When you have this valuable commodity and add in genuine compassion for kids then you can move mountains. This is a good place to raise kids and is going to be a great place in the future thanks to a number of people who give all they can to the Pack. We as coaches are very fortunate to have some outstanding parents and community members supporting these young people.

I also want to thank our administration, principals, teachers, and sponsors of other extracurricular activities for working with these students academically. The overall classroom performance of these students is stronger than ever.

TAKS week is now upon us. Parents…remind your kids to be a champion in the classroom. Demand rest and proper nutrition. There will be no after-school activities this week as we focus on assessment testing.
