      Dr. Joe Wardell is in his 7th year as Superintendent of the Anna Independent School District and 33rd year in education.  He has a Doctorate in Public School Administration from the University of North Texas.  His original degree was earned at Texas A&M Commerce.

 

      Before coming to Anna, Texas he was Superintendent at the S & S Consolidated School district for seven and a half years.  His educational experience includes serving as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, and principal.  He has worked in Carrollton-Farmers Branch, Plano, Palestine, and S & S School Districts.
